MODULE 1-COMPUTER HARDWARE BASICS
• Characteristics of Computer-ALOE, MU and CPU, Operations of a computer, usage of computer.
• Components of Computer-Detailed description, installation and usage of each internal components of a computer.
• Functions of Computer-Detailed functions of each internal parts of computer
• Basic Hardware-Keyboard, mouse and monitor-Introduction to LCD and TFT display, Speakers.
MODULE 2-COMPUTER HARDWARE COMPONENTS DETAILED STUDY
• Motherboard-Motherboard as the circuit junction of a machine, Motherboard circuit, Motherboard hardware.
• Processor-Location of processor, different types of processor, Usage and importance of processor.
• Memory-Random Access Memory, Types of RAM, AVRAM, DRAM.
• Hard disk-Hard disk drivers as a vital storage, Types of hard disks, usage of hard disks, SATA and PATA hard disks, Master and slave hard disks, Hard disks for operating system storage, Internal and External hard disks.
• Optical Drives-Usage, location, troubleshooting of CD/DVD ROM, CD/DVD writer.
• Power Supply-Use and location of Power supply, diagnose power supply failure, Replacement of faulty Power supply.
• Cabinet-How to open, close and remove cabinet, different types of cabinet.
• External PCI cards-External PCI sound, graphics and LAN cards installation, configuration and troubleshooting.
• BASIC Input Output System (BIOS)-What is BIOS, where it is stored, functions and usage of BIOS,BIOS as a troubleshooting tool, CMOS.

MODULE 3-OPERATING SYSTEMS CONCEPTS
• Operating System-What are operating systems, importance of operating systems, functions of operating systems, types of operating systems, Service packs, Patches.
• Operating system installation-Detailed study and networking
• Networking Protocols- Networking protocols, layered structure concepts, network message.

MODULE 4-OPERATING SYSTEM TROUBLESHOOTING AND DIAGNOSTICS TOOLS
• BOOT-How system boots, Boot files, troubleshooting related to BOOT.
• Diagnostics modes-Safe mode, Safe mode with networking, LKGC, Repairing windows, Safe mode with command prompt.
• Tools and Troubleshooting Utilities-System Restore, PC Restore, msconfig, temp and prefetch files, NTLDR, Task Manager, Control Panel, Device Manager, system Properties dialogue box, services.msc, network connections, Date and Time settings, Start menu and Taskbar.
• Disk Management-Disk Defragmenter, Disk Fragmentation, disk partitions, Disk drives.

MODULE 5-SOFTWARE INSTALLATION AND NUMBER SYSTEM

• Number systems-Different types of number system, their usage and conversion between different number systems.
• Network Interface Cards-Step by step procedure for installing network cards in a host, network cards troubleshooting, network card driver’s installation.
MODULE 6-DRILLING INTO COMPUTER NETWORKS
• Introduction to networks-Defining networks, importance of networks, Scope of networks, Network as a medium for communication, Elements of network.
• Network topologies: - Star, Bus, ring topology.
• Network Devices-Introduction to network devices-Routers, Switches, Hubs, Servers, Bridges, Repeaters and their uses. Cables and Connectors used to connect various networking devices and their concepts.
• Network Classification-Introduction to LAN, WAN, MAN and their concepts.
• Networking Methods- Client/Server and Peer-to-Peer

 

MODULE7-NETWORKING MODELS AND PROTOCOLS
• Networking models-PCT/IP and OSI models-detailed protocol approach and how data flows in a network.
• Layers and their usage-Physical, Data link, Network, Transport and Application layers usage and concepts.
• Communication b/w Devices-Communication, installation, troubleshooting and administration in peer to peer and client server networking.
• Services Utilities-Remote Desktop, Task manager, Telnet etc
• Diagnostics tool: - ping, ipconfig, arp etc.
• IP Addresses – IP addresses, use and importance in network communications.
MODULE8-IP ADDRESSING AND  SUBNETTING
• Classes of IP Addresses-Classes and no of network and hosts per network concepts.
• Subnet Masks-What are subnet masks, need for subnet masks, usage of subnet masks, CIDR and Prefix notation.
• Subnetting-How to subnet and why to subnet, detailed practice of various subnetting examples, Static length and variable length subnet masks.

  : Morning ( 7:30 a.m to 9:30 a.m),Afternoon (2:00 p.m to 4:00 p.m) & Evening (7:30 p.m to 9:30 p.m)

Classes are from Monday to Saturday

Labs are opened on sunday also
